We are big to you
Small to the world.
We know no borders,
Just light and shadow.
Valleys connect us,
Summits define us.
You named us,
Divided us,
Imaginarily owned us.
But we belong to one life,
One heart,
One planet,
One home,
We’ve known longer
Than any ancient you.
We’ve known
How false it is
To talk of ‘mine’ and ‘yours’,
For we all belong
To one undifferentiated consciousness
That has run through the veins of the Earth, and the universe

Eternity.
